Irisbond is a company that has created a system which enables the user to control a computer with their eyes. This system is reliable, intuitive, easy to use, precise and competitive. Irisbond’s aim is to develop systems based on assisted communication technology.

Currently the company is focused on marketing its products in the sector of people with disabilities. Irisbond Primma allows the user to access, using his or her eyes, all the tools and programmes which are normally controlled with a mouse: surfing the net, listening to music, drawing, playing etc.

Industrias Electromecánicas GH, S.A. (GH Cranes & Components) as the first company to instal this system for autocad, can be considered a pioneer in the field of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ACC) in the industrial sector.

After the initial trials carried out in the end of 2014, the device is used on a daily basis by one of our workers in the technical office.

This system is a recent development. However, it has already achieved several prizes:

• Telefonica Ability Awards in the categoría “Innovation for inclusiveness”
• Second prize for “Social Impact” in the Entrepreneurship Awards XXI in the national section.
• Winner of the Entrepreneurship Awards XXI (jointly awarded by La Caixa and the Spanish Ministry of Industry) in the Basque Country and second prize at the national level.
• Toribio Echevarría Prize in two separate categories: “Technological Area” and “Support to Internationalisation”
• Prize Reina Sofía of Technologies for Accessibility.

GH implanta el sistema IRISBOND para el manejo de autocad

La empresa Irisbond ha desarrollado un sistema de control del ordenador mediante la mirada, fiable, intuitivo, sencillo de usar, preciso y competitivo. Irisbond tiene como objetivo el desarrollo de sistemas basados en tecnologías de comunicación asistida.

En la actualidad, la empresa ha centrado sus esfuerzos de comercialización en el sector de la discapacidad, permitiendo al usuario de Irisbond Primma acceder, a través de la mirada, a todas las herramientas y programas que se utilizan mediante el ratón del ordenador: navegar en internet; escuchar música; dibujar, jugar, etc.

Industrias Electromecánicas GH, S.A. (GH Cranes & Components) es la primera empresa donde se implanta este sistema para el manejo del programa autocad, siendo pioneros en el campo de la Comunicación Aumentativa y Alternativa AAC en el sector industrial.

Tras las primeras pruebas desarrolladas a finales del 2014, el dispositivo es utilizado de manera cotidiana por uno de nuestros trabajadores de la oficina técnica.

Este sistema, aunque de reciente creación, cuenta ya con varios premios:

• Accésit al “Impacto Social” del Premio EmprendedorXXI en la fase nacional
• Ganador del Premio EmprendedorXXI (La Caixa – Ministerio de  Industria, Energía y Turismo) en País Vasco y finalista del Premio a nivel nacional.
