Bridge cranes installed in Brazil

Synchronized hoists (2 x 5,0 ton.) with special functions installed in an important customer in Rio de Janeiro / Brazil.

Double girder cranes GH (1 x 15 ton. and 2 x 6,3 ton.) that just been installed in the new plant of an important Iron and Steel Distributor in Rio de Janeiro / Brazil.

GH builds lighter mechanisms while keeping the same performance

In the latest GH low headroom hoists we’ve removed the counterweight, by adding a sprung roller made of cutting-edge materials which supports the hoist’s weight when it is unloaded.

With this, what benefits do our customers have?

They can have smaller runway beams and use less building materials.

This optimisation of the hoist’s and girder’s weight makes an important weight difference when compared to other brands.

For example, if we have a building of 200 metres, 22.5 metres of crane span, two cranes with a 10t capacity per building, two runways per building and a cost of 1.5 euros for each rail kilo.

Doing the math, we’ll see that that the savings amount to 7.800 euros in the cost of the runway beams.

And that’s not all, because the vertical load per  wheel decreases 8%, which brings about savings of 7% in building materials.

To sum up, GH has developed an innovative hoist: lighter than our competitors’, but equally robust. As a result, the runway beams are smaller, less building materials are needed and money is saved.

GH improves hook side approaches to enable narrower buildings

We’ve optimised the hook’s side approach in the new GH hoist so that it can get as close to the walls as possible.

This brings two benefits to the customer.

He can build narrower plants and save in heating.

Since the side reaches are better there’s less wasted room.

For example, for a building with a 22.5 metre span, with GH the building’s width is 3.2% smaller.

If we quantify the money saved in building materials we’ll see that with GH it’s as much as 43,549 €.

And in heating we’d be spending 6,316 € less per year.

To sum up, GH has optimised the side reaches of all its hoist up to 12.5 t so that customers can save up in building materials and heating.
