GH participa en el proyecto de investigación SMART CRANE, que pretende desarrollar una nueva solución integral de visión artificial, capaz de dotar de inteligencia y capacidad predictiva a los puentes grúas empleados en fábricas y naves industriales, con vistas a optimizar la productividad, así como evitar accidentes humanos y materiales. 

Smart Crane pretende abordar el reto de desarrollar una nueva tecnología capaz de minimizar los accidentes provocados por el desplazamiento de cargas en puentes grúa. Esta permitirá realizar una inspección de forma continua de las instalaciones de una forma desatendida, eliminando el factor humano y mejorando las condiciones de seguridad en el ámbito industrial. De esta forma, si un objeto o persona entra en una zona de seguridad, la nueva tecnología ha de identificarlo, dimensionarlo, alarmar de la situación y, en su caso, detener la operación.

Con todo ello se pretende obtener:

• Una mejora sustancial de medidas y herramientas de seguridad inteligentes de aviso para la prevención de accidentes en personas, equipos y materiales en el entorno industrial.
• Una minimización de los errores humanos relacionados con el manejo de este tipo de maquinaria.
• La posibilidad de modernizar y adaptar el parque actual de grúas puente conforme a los criterios o parámetros de Industria 4.0.

De forma adicional, el proyecto plantea la posibilidad de extrapolación a futuros trabajos, incluyendo la ampliación de este a otras actividades relacionadas con el ciclo productivo en el entorno de los puentes grúa, tales como logística (identificación de zonas de acopio, control de stocks), control de producción (control automático de piezas, trazabilidad), calidad (control de defectos, detección de marcado en piezas), etc.

Smart Crane es un proyecto financiado por el Ministerio de Industria, Comercio y Turismo, a través de la Convocatoria de Agrupaciones Empresariales Innovadoras del año 2021, en el marco del Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia.

Marine electrical solutions
The Gh70e marine automotive gantry crane with a capacity of 65t is the first of our electrical models.

• The three standard versions are: single girder, double girder and U-shaped. These options provide flexibility to the sector.
• Variable gantry height is achieved with telescopic legs to facility the entry of equipment into industrial facilities, with no emissions or leaks, thus providing the necessary efficiency in day-to-day operations.
• The modular batteries included provide autonomy for a complete workday, depending on the specific usage by each client.

Today we want to show you one of our latest facilities in United Kingdom made for our client Sheffield Forgemasters International Ltd: an open winch on a double girder overhead crane with auxiliary hoist and a lifting capacity of 80/20 t.

Sheffield Forgemasters is a heavy engineering firm located in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The company specializes in the production of large bespoke steel castings and forgings, as well as standard rolls, ingots and bars. Sheffield Forgemasters traces its origins to a 1750.

The company specializes in forged and cast steel components for the defense, engineering, nuclear, offshore, petrochemical, and steel processing industries worldwide.

Sheffield Forgemasters currently has the capacity for pouring the largest single casting (570 tons) in Europe. The two forging presses in use can exert a pressure of 4,500 tons and 10,000 tons on a billet of steel. The 4,500-ton press was installed in 2010 to replace a 1,500-ton press which dated back to 1897 and was originally steam powered, and after several upgrades became hydraulically operated.
