The Angostura hydroelectric plant has an installed capacity of 316 MW and an average yearly generation capacity of 1542 GWh with 3 vertical Francis turbines.
It was built in 48 months, and will provide around 3% of the energy demand of the SIC. It also conciliates energy generation with tourism, through the Angostura Park.
